(Springfield) – The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has announced that current reserves are low for all blood types, and they are urging those who can to donate blood at one of the many opportunities coming up in the next few weeks.

Ozark Radio News talked with CBCO Marketing Manager Chris Pilgrim, who told us what blood is needed:

Pilgrim continued and said that the CBCO’s annual ‘Salute a Veteran’ blood drive campaign will be starting next week:

It takes around 275 blood donations each day to meet the needs of local patients.

Local drives on the ‘Salute a Veteran’ drive include:

June 19 – 801 Ozark Street in Cabool from 2-6 PM.
June 22 – First Christian Church in Houston from 1-5:30 PM
June 27 – First Assembly of God Church on Industrial Dr. in Thayer from 2-6 PM.
June 29 – Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mtn. View from 10 AM to 4 PM.
July 6 – John E Schwartz Farm on Boone Creek Road in Licking from 4-8 PM, United Methodist Church in Licking from 2-6 PM, Scroll Compressors in Ava from 1-5 PM, Missouri Ozarks Community Health Center in Ava from 9-10:30 AM, The Mountain View Community Center from 11:30 AM to 5: 30 PM.
