(Norwood) – A 6-year-old boy was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after he hit the side of a moving vehicle near Norwood.
A report from the Highway Patrol states the accident happened on North Outer Road, about a mile east of Norwood. The report states the 6-year-old was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by the vehicle.
The child, Ni’avian Golden, was taken from the scene of the accident to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by helicopter.
The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old William Croney of Norwood, was uninjured in the accident.
