(West Plains) – Area students interested in a career in the medical field can have a hand-on learning experience at M*A*S*H Camp, June 25 and 26 at the Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Parkway Education Center.
The two-day M*A*S*H Camp, which stands for Missouri AHEC Science and Health Camp, is a collaborative effort between OMC, the Southeastern Missouri Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and A.T. Stills University/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. The event is open to students in ninth through 12th grades. During the camp, students will discover career opportunities in the areas of medicine, health and science, including pharmacy, lab, and physical, occupational and speech therapy. They will also have the opportunity to practice skills and techniques used by medical professionals.
