(Jefferson City) – Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster came out in support for the “Right to Farm” amendment on Wednesday.

At a press conference Wednesday with the Missouri Farm Bureau, Koster told those in attendance that he is in favor of protecting Missouri’s economy:

Koster says that some recent developments in the state of Missouri and a lawsuit from California makes the amendment more necessary than ever:

Koster also gave insight to the Koster v. Harris case:

Detractors of the Amendment say that the bill will allow farmers, including large corporate farms, to run their operations unregulated and free of government oversight. Koster says it’s not the case:

Koster announced his support for the amendment Wednesday at the Missouri Farm Bureau headquarters.
