(West Plains) – The West Plains Area Disc Golf Club is holding its first Spring Disc Golf Tournament at 8:30 AM Saturday, May 10, at the Brett Stoddard Memorial Disc Golf Course.

The tournament will consist of three rounds of 9 and is open to the public to play or watch.

The club has been working on raising funds to make the 9-hole course a full 18 and to replace the current 9 baskets with better quality permanent baskets. This tournament will help raise money to achieve that goal.

All players and non-players are welcome. The entry fee is only $20 per player. Half of the entry fees will go to the club and half will go to payout. There will be a cash payout or players can choose to receive a club voucher for merchandise and get 20% added to their payout amount.

Registration will open at 8:30 AM, followed by a players meeting at 9:45 AM, and tee off at 10AM. There will be a provided lunch after the first two rounds followed by the final round of 9.

Players can register the day of but are encouraged to contact Chairman Mike Sisco at 417-293-0292 if they plan to attend. The Brett Stoddard Memorial Disc Golf Course is located approximately 12 miles south of West Plains on Hwy 17.
