(Jefferson City)- Missouri senators give first-round approval to Senate Bill 492, which would create a performance-based funding model for public higher education institutions.

Sen. David Pearce, R-Warrensburg, who sponsors the bill, says that this measure still needs another vote before it could move to the Missouri House for similar consideration:
