(Mountain Home) – The Mountain Home Police Department says a Gassville man was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly breaking into a Mountain Home pharmacy.
20-year-old Dylan Lawyer of Gassville was arrested Thursday around 2 AM. A report from the police department says that police responded to a burglary alarm at MediSave Pharmacy located on Highway 201 North. Shortly after arrival, officers observed Lawyer reportedly fleeing the area on foot. Officers pursued the suspect across Highway 5 North and he entered the back yard of a nearby residence.
After multiple demands to stop, a taser was used on the suspect. Lawyer reportedly broke one of the two taser leads and attempted to get back up, but another a taser was used in an attempt to subdue him.
Lawyer was arrested and charged with Commercial Burglary, Fleeing, and Resisting Arrest. He was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond.
Charges at the Sheriff’s Office
After arriving at the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department, investigators took a report that a 2008 Ford F350 Pickup truck belonging to the Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad had been stolen from a private residence off of Big Pond Place, which is off State Highway 5 South. A GPS locator device allowed deputies to locate the stolen vehicle buried in the mud at the end of North Cardinal Drive in Mountain Home.
Investigators say that a piece of equipment from the truck was used in the pharmacy break-in.
Lawyer was also charged with Felony Motor Vehicle Theft and was held on $15,000 bond on the theft charges. He was released after paying bond, and is scheduled to appear in court May 24.
