(Mountain Home) – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office will be joining countless other law enforcement agencies across the country Saturday to collect expired or unused prescription pills as part of an effort by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Take-Back Event.
Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery spoke with Ozark Radio News and told us more about the event:

Sheriff Montgomery says that disposing of the drugs this way is safer and more environmentally friendly than disposing them by other means:

Other law enforcement agencies participating in the event include Howell, Oregon, Douglas and Wright Counties.
