(Mountain Home) – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of a 24-year-old man.

The 911 Center received a call at approximately 4:38 PM from a lady who had gone to a home in the 200 block of County Road 672 to check on Jay Holland, whose family had not heard from him in several days. Holland’s body was found in a bedroom of the home, and it appeared that he had been deceased for some time, according to a news release from the department.

The body has been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.

The report says that there were no signs of trauma present and no indicators of foul play at the scene.

The case will remain open until the results of the autopsy become available.
