(West Plains) – The city of West Plains issued a peak power usage alert on January 7, when frigid temperatures in the low single digits and below zero were felt across the listening area.

City Clerk Mallory Prewett says that Jeff Hanshaw, Electric Superintendent in West Plains, recently wrote a letter explaining what the alert means, and how that can affect city residents:
