(West Plains) – The Arby’s location in the Southern Hills Shopping Center in West Plains opened Tuesday morning to fanfare and excitement from those who have waited, some outside overnight, to be some of the first to have delicious roast beef.

Sara Gaches, Marketing Manager with franchise owner United States Beef Corporation, spoke with Ozark Radio News and told us that they have been anticipating opening the location for some time:

She also discussed the promotion the store threw where the first handful of people in line received free Arby’s for a year. Some people camped outside at 10 PM Monday night to collect their food vouchers.

Gaches says that the promotion was well-received and that she’s glad the store has been so well-received:

The new 2,800 square foot standalone building is a state of the art Arby’s restaurant with a drive thru and full service seating. The restaurant is expected to employ approximately 30 people in the West Plains area.
