(West Plains) – A worker with the city of West Plains is recovering after being electrocuted on Friday afternoon.

Officials with the city of West Plains say that 30-year-old Dustin Ledbetter was injured just before noon Friday on a power outage project in the Quail Run Subdivision on K Highway.

Ledbetter was shocked by roughly 7200 volts of electricity.

City Clerk Mallory Prewett says that Ledbetter is extremely lucky, and thanks those who helped save his life:

Crews responding to the scene resuscitated Ledbetter, and as of Saturday night, was still recovering in an area hospital.
