(Ava) – Four timber thieves have been arrested in Douglas County, according to authorities there.

The four suspects from Howell County were caught in the act of cutting down roughly 90 40- and 50-foot tall oak trees in the Mark Twain National Forest, and were caught by a forest ranger, according to KYTV.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department expects charges next week.
