(Little Rock) – Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says he’s established a statewide task force aimed at preventing human trafficking.
McDaniel announced the creation of the State Task Force for the Prevention of Human Trafficking during a news conference on Wednesday.
The task force is made up of law enforcement officials, state agency representatives, community leaders and victims’ rights advocates from across Arkansas. It will hold its first meeting Nov. 19 at the state Capitol.
The task force is expected to develop a plan to prevent trafficking, raise public awareness about the issue and create a training curriculum for law enforcement officials.
