(Willow Springs) – On Tuesday, the Willow Springs School District will be celebrating a national recognition after being named a Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education.

School Superintendent Dr. Derrick Hutsell spoke with Ozark Radio News and said that the Monday celebration will start around 3:15 PM:

He continued, saying some of the high school staff will be traveling to Washington DC to accept the award:

Willow Springs High School was one of nine schools in the state of Missouri selected for the distinction. Tuesday’s celebration of the Blue Ribbon designation is open to the public.
