Bailey Brown

(Mountain Home) – Two of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home’s academic all-stars, Bailey Brown and Kimberlee Booth, will be honored this month at the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges (AATYC) Annual Conference in Hot Springs, AR.

Bailey Brown is receiving the 2013 AATYC Academic All-Star Award for ASUMH. Brown, a sophomore, is pursuing her Associate of Arts degree and intends to transfer to the University of Arkansas in August 2014. Bailey’s ultimate degree objective is to earn a doctorate in genetics and to become a geneticist who helps people with diseases. A 4.0 student, Bailey is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Fran Coulter Honors Program at ASUMH. In addition to being an outstanding student, Bailey is a community advocate for literacy.

Kimberlee Booth is receiving the 2013 AATYC Outstanding Alumna Award. Not only is Booth a graduate of ASUMH, but she has also worked for the college as a computer programmer since August of 2011.

The Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges (AATYC) is a private, non-profit higher education membership organization representing all 22 two-year colleges in the state. Over 800 two-year college faculty, staff and administrators attend the AATYC conference each year.
