(Mountain Home) – A Baxter County man has again been arrested on felony drug charges after the Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint Wednesday.

29-year-old Ben Dacus was arrested after authorities say they found him slumped over the wheel of a pickup truck on Baxter County Road 625. Authorities say Dacus had a syringe of methamphetamine in his right hand.

Authorities say a search of Dacus and his vehicle uncovered additional drugs and drug paraphernalia, including .4 grams of methamphetamine, 3 hydrocodone pills, numerous syringes, a digital scale, 2 glass pipes, and other paraphernalia. In addition, deputies say a loaded Marlin model 60 .22 caliber pistol was found in the vehicle.

Dacus had previously been arrested September 9th on an outstanding felony drug warrant and was out on bond.

Dacus was transported to the Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond on charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dacus will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on September 26.
