(Pine Bluff) (AP) – Funeral services are set for a 107-year-old Arkansas man who died when shot by Pine Bluff police during a standoff.

Brown Funeral Home says Monroe Isadore’s funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.

Authorities say Isadore shot at police, who returned fire and killed him on Sept. 7.

Police have said they tried using a camera, negotiating tactics and gas before shooting Isadore, but the shooting has prompted questions from residents and some city leaders in the Arkansas community about 45 miles southeast of Little Rock.

The funeral home says Isadore’s survivors include three sons, seven daughters, 27 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.
