(West Plains) – A home in West Plains that was damaged by fire Wednesday afternoon became fully engulfed Thursday morning.

Firefighters were on scene just before 6 AM Thursday morning fighting a fully engulfed home at 1019 W. 3rd St. Firefighters were at the same home around 3 PM Wednesday fighting a fire that reportedly started in a closet in the home.

The home was uninhabitable after Wednesday’s damage. No injuries were reported in either fire.

West Plains Fire Chief Tim Bean says that the Missouri Fire Marshal is in town to investigate the original fire, and that the investigation is ongoing.
