(Houston) – Plans are underway for the seventh annual Texas County Memorial Hospital Healthcare Foundation Chili Cook Off.

The cook off will be held on Saturday November 2, at the Texas County Fairgrounds in Houston, with all proceeds to benefit the TCMH Hospice of Care.

This year event will also feature music, a live auction, a homemade pie auction, a cakewalk as well as the opportunity to sample all the chili.

Teams will compete in the annual cook off for chili prizes and will be raising money for the TCMH Hospice of Care. Teams will be comprised of five people and are sponsored by businesses and organizations.

A panel of judges will taste the chili and award a prize for the judges’ choice. There will also be a prize for the people’s choice, the spiciest chili and the best decorated/theme booth. Medals will be awarded in each category and awards will be given to the team that raises the most money.

TCMH hopes to raise at least $60,000 for their Hospice of Care, which will further the endeavors to provide hospice care for terminally ill patients and their family members regardless of their ability to pay for services.

The fee to become a team sponsor is $150 and includes t-shirts for the team members, cook passes, and promotion prior to the event. Interested sponsors can obtain a complete set of rules and an entry form through the TCMH Healthcare Foundation by calling 417-967-1377 or by visiting www.tcmhfoundation.org.
