(West Plains) – Ozarks Medical Center recently supported local youth at the Heart of the Ozarks Fair Livestock Auction by recognizing Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion winners.
OMC awarded $450 to each of the four Supreme Champions and $250 to each of the four Reserve Champions.
OMC President and CEO David Zechman says that the hospital wanted to recognize and congratulate these ambitious and hardworking young people for the responsibility and maturity they have demonstrated by raising prize-winning livestock, adding that OMC recognizes agriculture’s impact to the region.
Award winners were: Zoey Guffey, Champion Steer and Reserve Champion Steer; Grant Talburt, Champion Hog; Ashley Hardisty, Reserve Hog; Josey Bush, Champion Lamb; Tate Dudgeon, Reserve Lamb; Paige King, Champion Goat; and Zoey Guffey, Reserve Goat.
The market steer, goat, swine and lamb auction was held Tuesday, July 16 at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds.
