(West Plains) – The city of West Plains will be holding an informational meeting concerning the connection of Monks Street to Highway 63.
City Administrator Tom Stehn spoke to the city council at Monday’s meeting, saying that the Monks Street has been part of a larger connection project that has been in the works for 20 years:
Stehn says the city has two options: a side connection to Monk and Farrell Street and a curve heading back to the Southern Hills Shopping Center, or a direct access spot:
Because of the sensitivity of the issue, the city is encouraging the public to give their thoughts on the issue, and will be holding an informational meeting on the topic:
That meeting will be held August 5 from 5-7 PM at the West Plains Public Library Community Room.
