(Sikeston) – During its regular meeting on July 9, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded several contracts for Southeast District projects. Awarded contracts include sidewalk improvements, asphalt overlays and a bridge replacement.

Among the contract was an $11,283,000 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Company, LLC, for thin lift overlays with the addition of shoulders on Route 21 from Route K to Route 34 in Reynolds County, on Route 106 from Route H to Route 21 in Shannon and Reynolds Counties and on Route 21 from Route 60 to Route 160 in Carter and Ripley Counties.

Other work awarded included contracts in Cape Girardeau County and New Madrid County.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction. Work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
