(Yellville) – The Marion County Fairgrounds in Yellville will be hosting The Volunteer Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic and Dr. Joanna McManus in July and November of this year.

From July 16-19 and November 5-8, pet owners will have the chance to get their pets spayed and neutered at an affordable cost.

The clinic will take care of both male or female cats and dogs. The cost will be $67 for dogs up to 75 pounds and $77 for dogs over 75 pounds; and all cats will cost $42. These prices will also include a rabies shot.

Four million cats and dogs, about one every eight seconds, are put down in U.S. shelters each year, according to the Humane Society of the United States. The Volunteer Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic is hoping to reduce this travesty by providing spay and neuter services at affordable rates for all pet owners.

Surgery will be by appointment only. To make an appointment you can call 870-620-0048. The clinic will be booking up one month to six weeks in advance.
