(West Plains) – Local banks in the West Plains area have joined together to donate over $16,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater West Plains Area.

A total of $16,500 was donated to the Founder’s Campaign by Arvest Bank, Community First Banking Company, Howell County Bank, Landmark Bank, West Plains Bank and Trust, West Plains Savings and Loan, and Wood and Huston Bank, all of which either have locations or are headquartered in West Plains.

The Founder’s Campaign helps fund the various projects and functions performed by the Boys and Girls Club.

The Boys and Girls Club officially opens May 28, with the first sessions being held at West Plains Elementary School after summer school classes. For more information on the club, call Executive Director Dakota Crow at 417-293-2769 or email bgcwp1@gmail.com.
