(Mountain Grove) – Representatives with Mercy Hospital in Springfield held a groundbreaking at noon Thursday for a new EMS facility in Mountain Grove.

Ozark Radio News spoke with Steve Kemp, the Vice President of Operations and overseer of emergency services at Mercy, who told us more about the new facility, which he says has been in the making for over a year:

There were two ambulance bays in Wright County used by Mercy. Kemp says that consolidating into one building helps logistically and functionally:

He continued and talked about Mercy’s commitment to Mountain Grove and Wright County:

The project is estimated to cost a little over $400,000.
