(West Plains) – An examination of events surrounding the malfunction of storm sirens in West Plains this past Sunday continues.

City Emergency Management Director Kent Edge says the reason for the sirens going off on their own has proved elusive so far:

Part of the issue Sunday wasn’t just about the sirens sounding accidentally, but residents asking “Why didn’t someone with the city ‘pull the plug’ to stop them sooner?” Edge addresses that:
