(Doniphan) – A two-vehicle head-on accident Thursday night in Ripley County has killed a resident of Couch.
The accident happened at 10:15 PM, according to a report from the Highway Patrol. The accident happened on Route 142, about 6 miles west of Doniphan, when the eastbound vehicle driven by 22-year-old Melissa Richmond of Doniphan crossed the center line and hit the westbound vehicle driven by 63-year-old David Crews of Couch.
Crews was pronounced dead at the scene. Richmond suffered moderate injuries.
