Firefighters responded to a fryer fire at approximately 8:50 last night at the McDonalds on Preacher Roe Boulevard. The report says upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the fryers. Firefighters extinguished the fire and removed the fryers from the building. The night manager at McDonalds reported that sparks caused by an electrical short began flying out from behind the fryers, resulting in a grease fire. Business resumed Friday morning.
