(West Plains) – The filing deadline has come and gone and there are two candidates for April’s West Plains City Council election.
City Clerk Mallory Thompson says Mike Topliff and Fred Edgeller are candidates for the seat currently held by Lou Citro, who has announced he will not seek another term. Citro has served 16 years on the council and cites an increasing job workload as one of the reasons to not seek another term.
The deadline to file for the council seat ended Tuesday evening.
