(West Plains) – The Boys and Girls Club of the Greater West Plains Area continues to take steps for implementation, with a summer program expected sometime this year.

Ozark Radio News spoke with David Gohn, who is the Treasurer with the Boys and Girls Club. He says the club has met for the past two years now, trying to get the club started. In 2012, the club attempted to raise $150,000 before the end of the year to help have a starting point for the club, but they missed their goal. Gohn says that this “Founder’s Club” is extremely vital to getting the club started:

Despite missing their goal in December, Gohn says that the community of West Plains and the surrounding areas have helped the cause immensely:
