(Washington) – As negotiations in Washington continue on the ‘Fiscal Cliff’ issue, members on both sides of the political aisle are encouraging Democrats and Republicans to come together for the good of the country.

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, in a phone conference with Missouri media outlets, says that Republicans possibly using the next debt ceiling negotiations to get what they want in the current fiscal talks is a dangerous game:

The ‘Fiscal Cliff’ refers to a vast array of tax increases and budget cuts scheduled to take effect at year’s end, unless the GOP-run House of Representatives and the White House can come to an agreement. The Senate, which McCaskill is a part of, would then have to sign-on to the proposal for it to pass.
